Hello there, I decided to take a swatch at this site again after ages to see if anything was happening during the cold spell.
Anyway, I have just had a rather interesting couple of months as quite out of the blue at the beginning of September, I developed severe Ulcerative Colitis which eventually meant that I had to have my Large intestine taken out (you read that correctly, all out, save for a small bit at my... bum) in a life saving operation.
I have been back in hospital twice for various things, since then, and in fact have just gotten out today, so I'm enjoying the snow for the first time since it has fallen.
Needless to say, I haven't played this season at all (I fell ill on the 6th of September), but now intend to get back to Braehead and get some practice in, so if any of you are about, the 'Gutless Wonder' is heading your way!
By the way, they also removed my Appendix whist they were at it, which was rather decent of them. I only know this because I asked if I could get a picture of my Intestines purely out of curiosity, and there it was on the end of it.
You see, I take the view that you don't get to see inside yourself very often, so I took the chance of a picture with both hands!
I'm the same when it comes to the endoscopies - I lie there and watch it on the screen (So I've seen inside and out of my bowels!).
With all the other things that have happened to me over the years, I am slowly seeing inside myself all over, such as when I sat and watched a doctor prod about inside my knee, or the time when ...well, you get the picture.
