Hello,

My name is Colby Oracheski and I have recently found this website using google. I reside in Alberta, Canada in a small town where my 3 brothers and I grew up on the sport curling. Every year we hold a summerspiel at the beginning of August. It runs for about a week with above 25" C temp and usually get about 70 teams competing.

I am writing to be informed about a curling summerspiel that takes place in Scotland? Can you please give me info on this..... I heard about it from a man that owns a company called Hack to Hack. This company sells a mesh material with the curling sheets printed on them. A great alternative to having to paint the houses and four foot and center lines. Anyway, the owner mentioned he competed in a summerspiel in Scotland just weeks before coming to our town.

I write because a few of us got talking and would find it a great vacation to come over and compete in this event.  Anyone with knowledge of curling events...please reply!!!

Thanks,
Colby Oracheski (Canadian)

Yes! That is me.

I tavelled for a year and while in Australia, I contacted the local curling club to see if I could see what curling down under was all about. Then before I knew it they asked me to play on their team to represent Australia in an annual competetion in Naseby, NZ. I hope to do some travelling and curling across US, Canada this year! Of course bring a team to the birthplace of the best sport out there- Scotland!
