Ok cats and kittens what curler would you like to play with most ( or have in your team ) and why ? . I'll go with for Kevin Martin ( Canada ) to pick his brains on tactics. For the females I'll go for Rhona Martin ( no relation  Grin ) from Scotland just as she is a fantastic player.

OK I am game. I would play with Greg McAuley, I have met him and drunk his beer and slept on his floor. We have played the same ice in a game but I want to play a competition under his skip ship Smiley  He won the Worlds in 2000 and is a fantastic player Smiley

As to women, it has to be Cheryl Bernard, she is not a Jennifer Jones and is approachable and friendly and very skilled. I watched her practise in Calgary for an hour and was very impressed by her rigour and skill.

two great players, of course you could choose many many others like Hammy McMillan (the original), Murdoch, Martin etc but these are th two I would choose.

I'm not that fussy, I would love to play against any one of our Elite Curling Teams.

Of course I'd be massacred, even with a more than competent team behind me, but what a gas. I'd hope to get an end or two, then maybe go for another one or two.

I think I would like to have Kevin Martin 's front end, just imagine coming out of the hack knowing you have that sweeping power in front of you...Russ Howard would be skip.

You are right of course as playing against a top flight team rather than with them is a completely different experience. I was in a scratch rink with a competent skip and three numpties (myself included)  that played against Andrea Schopps team in Germany last year and I can tell you it was an expereince. We were over the moon to 'take' the first end against the head and we thought we would be a challenge. However, Andrea got annoyed and that was it, we never took another end.  We walked away losing 8-1 after the full 8 ends and were really chuffed with ourselves for holding them down that much (they beat the previous team 19-1 and the subsequent team 22-0). Andrea refused to shake hands at any stage as she 'wanted the ends' - I can appreciate this but 22-0 is not nice.  Yes Eddie playing against a world class team is different to playing with them.
