We thought that we were quite cool in the 60's and 70's with our Loon Pants and the many other styles we embraced.

However, I don't think that we would ever have got away with some of this stuff!

See if you can find any examples of dodgy Curling taste and post links to them here. That should enliven 2011.

Following the introduction of the so-called loudmouth curling trousers. I realised that I no longer have a photograph of me playing in my last Uniroyal, which must have been about 1973.

I had a fantastic pair of day-glow yellow, pink and orange paisley pattern trousers which makes these demure loudmouth trousers seem quite ordinary.

There has to be a photo somewhere, probably in Toronto. Anyone know where I might post in a Canadian Curling web thingy to see if anyone has the curling fashion shot of the century?.

This is the place for you http://www.curlingzone.com/forums/

It's a very active Forum which, although it has mainly Canadian and American Members, it has many from Scotland. Also there are lots of Subject Threads of World Wide interest. At the moment, I'm particularly interested in a Mixed Doubles Thread.

Hullo there!

Personally, I thought that the trousers you were sporting at the weekend in Forfar - the banana yellow ones - were about as loud as it could get!

You might try contacting the East York club itself - they must surely have pictures in their record books?  You can email them at info@eastyorkcurling.ca.

Well done in the last game.  Must have been a lonely place without us!  Looked a bit squeeky towards the end?  But you made it through and it's all to play for in Hamilton in a few weeks time  Wink

I once did a ski race in a pair of sailors white bell bottoms !  and a World Championship ski race in my kilt ! (I had to get permission to dispense with some compulsory armour )
