Athletics World Championships in Berlin.

800 metres athlete trips/is tripped and goes down - reinstated after appeal.

Today's 1500 heats, US athlete is tripped, goes down, is reinstated after appeal
French athlete goes down, is reinstated after appeal.

GB athlete Charlene Thomas, 27 yr old teacher who got an unexptected place by winning the trials, has to hurdle the US athlete, (that was reinstated) and loses shoe in process. Has to run more than half the race with one shoe and just misses out on going through. In tears afterwards.

GB team management do not appeal.

Genius.
Not.

had it been a 'medal hope' they would have appealed like a rat up a drain pipe, but it seems like another athlete left to her own devices by the management that should be supporting her.

Frustrating to watch!

We should email UK athletics and get them to appeal on Charlene Thomas's behalf!
