Did notice, I think, that there was a session at five then another at six. One hour to answer all the questions seemed a little on the short side but, going by this response, they probably had time for tea and biscuits as well Grin

I've tried the RCCC website to see if they have put up any news information about this but cannot find anything. I would have thought that to have a report on this kind of activity would have been very good for the image and that they would be quick to publicise the efforts to go out to the members. Maybe I'm just looking in the wrong place, has anybody else found anything?

Disappointed, like you, that nothing has been reported.  I'll ask the CE if they can do a report.

Nothing to beat a minuet, apart from maybe a Beethoven symphony.  I always liked the First and the Sixth myself but have always been seen as a bit curmudgeonly and different.  I'll grant you that the Fifth is spectacular as well.

Duh, duh, duh, Duuuuh.....

Small report on RCCC site now.

I see Murrayfield is next.

Any plans to carry out a tour of all areas or ice rinks. Could be done on a rolling 2-3 year program

20 members seems a bit disappointing?

By invitation only, perhaps? They would achieve more by having a Q & A here on the forum!

Looking on the positive side. It did happen, and it was open to all in the general area to attend, and 20 did get up and go ( we don't have many more than 20 regular contributors on the forum)

It's going to happen again, this time in Edinburgh and maybe more convenient for more people.
We are getting an opportunity to put any questions to the people who are responsible, and who should have the answers, or be able to explain why there is no answer.
There was a pretty immediate response to a request for information on the event.

In all, don't you think the RCCC should be commended for going down this route ?

Agreed.

A positive step and if the curlers do not go and take advantage, then we cannot whinge and moan too much.

Back to an earlier thread though: how many curlers actually care about their sport enough to show an interest in our results / buy a subscription in the Scottish Curler / enter the Scottish Ladies Championship (count me out of that one, mind you) / know where Cairnie House is or whom it is named after?

Not that many, I dare to think!

But!!!! having said all that, it would still be nice to get a response from one of the curlers who did attend and get the view from the floor.

What happened to the guy from the Aberdeen area who made a complaint to the RCCC about the Vernon affair. Did ne not attend or has he also gone to ground or been bought out -  or is it bought off.

Just checked out RCCC site and very impressed with full report!!

Wonder if this is one of the following questions:-

Q. Can the board give and update on the Vernon report?

A. Untill full report is received can not say any more.

Q2. When is that likely to be?

A2. Soon, next question.
