I think JJK's more concerned with the qualification process for the olympics whereby it is conceivable that scotland are charged with collecting the points for GB are having to play England, wales at the worlds etc - imagine if they were up against qualification and needing a win against England to qualify GB for the olympics - all sorts of conflict of interest.
Also how could a selected team consisting of scots, welsh, english players compete together at the worlds & euros to gain experience without one of  the home associations a) giving up their place b) other countries agreeing eligibility rules.
The ONLY real way round this is to allow teams of any 4 players of UK nationality to take part in a ranking process that culminates in an intense trials competition for the Olympics. (as the canadians do)

Jmlb... who sets the criteria for which countries go to the olympics? To the best of my knowledge the only way you can accrue points is to play in the wcf world championships. And the only way home nations can qualify for that is through the ecf european championships.
These bodies have imo been absolutely complicit in sanctioning the process whereby  teams can compete against each other while one of the teams involved is accruing points to the benefit of the other. (in olympic qualification terms).
I am not saying that there could or would be any throwing of games but it is just not acceptable in sporting terms.
Two solutions. A team GB at europeans and worlds (which no-one wants) OR a process where english or welsh or scottish teams can qualify to be the olympic representative. I hasten to add for the avoidance of doubt this is my personal opinion and not that of the ICA!!
