ahh got my Fraser's mixed up!!  Think glen should be guaranteed national squad dont know if they merit SIS though, if so shouldnt scott andrews get it aswell?!  Colin should have been in it last year but was somehow overlooked, in my opinion he should get it!

OTB has commented on another thread that he won't be competing in the mens next year as things stand. Would be interesting to hear his reasoning for this, just out of curiosity and also what is happening to the rest of the team. Does Hammertime want to elaborate on his comment about Graeme Black not getting funding next year.

Would i be correct in guessing that some home truths were aired by Mr Black after the event possibly to do with 5th players, substitutions, coaches, team sticking together  etc etc?

It can't be that inappropriate I would have thought if this is the only comment anyone is passing on it, hopefully we hear more about this if it is in the members interest and if it is not, hear nothing at all unless concrete facts are aired.

I think that HT may have a point.
Playing with a new player can be diffecult at the best of times. To do it at the World Championships is even more so and to do it with that person being another skip even yet more so. Diferent weights, diferent calls and diferent opinions on tactics. It must have been hard on Graeme much les the rest of the team.
Change was made to Gee the team up but the team did not return to its normal format.
Was this a team discision or was this the call of a coach.
At least the Nat Coach was not there!

Still teams do break up and change. Its pary of the natural order. Rather like natural selection only in Juniors you have an age limit which restricts time to change.

Now now, let's not get on at Graeme and his team about the worlds...

They're young, inexperienced on that stage and, especially in that situation of having a new entity in the team, pressure can take its toll...

He's good fun off the ice, that's all I know.

As for me, looks like my planned team of myself, Andrew Dolman and Rob McBride didn't take off.

Which only means 1 thing... More time and money for both club curling (see curler in may for tales of how much I love that sport!) and more time and money for my other sports - Whitewater Kayaking, Canoe polo and Four Cross , which apparantly i'm rather good at!
