For those who were looking for some summer competition, get in touch with Logan Gray at the new rink in Stirling.
Phone (44) 07736941861  or email  bogz29@hotmail.com.  Male/Female or Mixed Teams by 01/07/09

Maybe we could make up a Forum Team???

Thats the weekend after the Dumfries summerspeil- it seems like summer curling competitions are like buses! I'd play in a team if anyone was looking for player- my team are too busy golfing to want to play two weekends in a row!

Now ~ This is closer to reality!

Sadly I need to work Weekends, so can't do this one ~ Available mid-week if anyone is desperate.

Standard ~ Not quite as good as I think I am (Ask anyone in Galston Haymouth for a realistic assessment).

Speaking of this Summer Spiel at Dumfries Ice Bowl in July, does anyone know if the event is actually ' fully baked' and really happening Huh?? I ask because, since January, 2009, I have written for detailed information and to submit a team to the contact: ( sloan.ranger@hotmail.com ). I have not received an answer to any of those three inquires.

About two weeks ago I called the Dumfries Ice Bowl only to be told that all information on the spiel was being handled by sloan.ranger@hotmail.com . So, wrote another email but, alas, still silence.

Bad timing. Infected Mushroom are playing the Ministry of Sound in Lodon on the 24th....and I will need the next two days to recover

JJRM- I'm afraid you have Graham Sloan's e-mail address wrong so this would explain the lack of response! It is indeed sloan.ranger@hotmail.CO.UK. If you still have trouble I can e-mail you an entry form and his phone number. As far as I am aware it is still taking place although I have no idea how many entries he has received.

Millport has a rink entered for Dumfries and the cheque has been cashed so I am assuming it is going ahead.

Hope to see you Jim - I did have a problem with the first response form.

I have previously stated I have no interest in Summer Curling but a skins event sounds interesting! Will have to check finances as it only 2 weeks after t in the park and will liver be able to take another 'big' session?

£200 entry per team for a guaranteed 24 ends as I read it?

Presumably some of the entry fee is prize money with it being a skins format and all?

Thanks to those who sent me messages about Dumfries. Talked to Graham Sloan today and he is sending me information materials.

If anyone is looking for an extra team member, then count me in. I'd better be the first though!
I am champing at the bit (sort of) to get back to play, so let me know. The same for the Dumfries one.

A forum team sounds good to me, so what do you say, can we get a team together here or not??
Seriously it would be a great chance to meet other members on this forum, and, as long as it isn't taken too seriously,  it would be a nice bit of fun and practice!

Actually, talking of Stirling, I have an e - mail from Logan saying that sessions are every Wednesday throughout July and I'm planning to get along for some much needed practice, so I should be in the loop as it were anyway.
