Here I am, enjoying being at the Euro Mixed in Kitzbuehel, and I read in the minutes of the RCCC Board meeting held September 12:

a)Vernon : Update and Next Steps
BT updated the Board on the progress to date, it is unfortunate that no new date is available as yet for the delivery of the Independent investigation. Discussions continue with Michael Nicholson to finalise this.

'Discussions continue'! My depression continues.....

Anyway, Team Alan Smith will have no problems with coaches here in Austria. The squad is four players! The only way they will end up playing with three will be if one of them takes ill, or has an accident! (I've touched wood!)

The frustration, dissatisfaction, irritation, impatience, etc, etc of the membership continues.......  It does seem like something has gone wrong when it is now more than two weeks since the agreed completion date and the previous minutes told us that the investigator was confident that he would meet the deadline of the 5th Sep.

Shocked Has Michael Nicholson found something worth stalling over?  Shocked

This really does call into question why a date of earlier this month was given and suggests a great deal of miscommunication.  I really do hope that this engagement with the lawyer is on a fixed fee basis because if not I'm sure that the costs are rising.  Frankly I find the whole issue embarrasing not only for the RCCC and curling in Scotland but also for the law firm.

Eddies must be a very very late cuckoo!!

But so is this report.

Having been asked several times by 'foreign' teams and coaches ie Germans and Canadians what the result of the 'investigation in April was. It is embarassing to say it is still ongoing. Their responce is 'what! You are joking'

It only embsarrasses the RCCC even more as an admin body.

Suggest the lawyer flies to Oslo as most of the participents are there this week end.

Hey Ho! And on the Saga goes!

This is ridiculous, we all pay the RCCC to do a job for us as a governing body, we need to know what is going on.  Are they pressuring the lawyer for the report since we are now 1 month down the line from the expected date??

Right again - I should have checked the Board minutes instead of assuming the second Wednesday in the month.

I wish, I wish I could comment on this. The heading says it all, and tomorrow is a big day for decisions.....

Does this mean that there is a leak that you are party to John?
