It's taken me a long time to say that ~ I don't believe that Gail, or any of the other girls, is at fault.
I believe that we are looking at a case of very, very, bad Personnel Management.
Hear, hear, I couldn't have said it much better myself. But the question is, if this is proven to be the case will the RCCC/SIS have the balls to do something about it? And will Gail and Lyndsay get the public apology that they deserve?

HHS, u may have spotted a small amount of sarcasm.
I think we can say no one will look good but again if the situation with Boyd and Burley, players are not bigger than the national team. Playing for ur country should be the ultimate honour a player can be in most sports (golf and motor sport being different set up). So for players to decide they r not going to play, did the position of the team have an effect as I remember they were near the bottom so something different had to be tried. Can people imagine only 5 footballers taking to the field or 6 rugby players? The events made curling look stupid and at a time we r having to fight for funding it does not help.

Lonegunman - You talk alot of sense but the flaw in your argument is that we haven't heard from Gail and Lyndsay yet - only from Derek Brown, who has already admitted in his clarification on the RCCC website that he misrepresented the truth when he told the press that he had asked Gail to take Lyndsay's place on the team when he hadn't. Are we now expected to believe that he told the truth when he said that Lyndsay refused to play. He clarified by saying that it was his decision to play with three.

I myself am not into social networking sights & believe no good comes from them BUT it is a widely known fact that during the championships at Vernon … Ms Wilson & Ms Munro happily used these sights to drum up support from individuals back home and to make us all believe that Mr Brown was THE ONLY ONE AT FAULT …. & before anyone starts ranting at me, I believe that both parties are at fault.
“Are we now expected to believe that he told the truth when he said that Lyndsay refused to play. He clarified by saying that it was his decision to play with three.”
I highly Doubt the truth hasn’t been told when Ms Wilson Quoted on her social networking sight. “Solidarity – I’m out too”
Take what you want from the above ….. However seems the individuals in question had a HUGE part to play too in this disgrace to Scottish Curling!!!!!

Yes, maybe so, maybe not so. That is not what the post is about, we are all simply wanting to see the promised report. Everyone is at fault, to some degree. Blame and proportion are not the issues here, fairness and openness are.
Welcome to the forum, by the way!

Tock!
I might be reading too far between the lines here but is there any new information that has appeared over the past couple of days or merely old information regurgitated and old ground covered?

Something a good journalist could put together in 5 minutes.
Perhaps Mike Haggerty can help.....

Perhaps the report is so damning that is has been 'lost in the post' so we have to draw our own conclusions?
The whole thing made curling look stupid and unprofessional and the delay in publishing report does nothing to make things better. I know if I was involved in other sports, eg skating, skiing and applying for funding I would assure funding body we are going to all turn up and take part! If players and coaches don't get on it should be dealt with in a more professional manner than getting all toys and throwing them out of the pram.

As long as someone gets their finger out and says what's happening one way or the other I see that as progress!

Under a different heading I mentioned that the matter may be finalised at the forthcoming joint meeting between the Board, the ASC and the LSC. This must have been a bit naive of me since I just remembered that Gail M is on the LSC and will probably be in attendance. Anyone going or are they selling tickets

All the more reason why this matter should be concluded! As for tickets, I wonder of anyone has had the sense to book Murrayfield stadium -- should be enough room there, and the ticket sales will pay for the next curling rink!
