Sandy you said - "Namely, Kevin Martin's final two outrageous, insane shots"

So - what shot would you have chosen on Martins' first rock in the 10th end?.

Stuart, I got the impression that Sandy was quoting from the Winnipeg Sun. See it here:

There's an excellent thread on the CurlingZone Forum which discusses Martin's options:
http://www.curlingzone.com/forums/showthread.php?s=29dc383413f406684f8f8a1b2ad8ceb7&threadid=8133&forumid=5&tp=0&sp=

The use of graphics showing the position of the stones in the later posts is very helpful too.

I had a read of the CulingZone blog and there are some fascinating comments from the Canadians about Martin's options. (and some good diagrams)
The best comment by far, though, was the robust defence of David Murdoch's team from Bob. Some of the Canadian remarks about our boys were absolute nonsense.
Good on yer, Bob

I've been mucking around on Granite and Granite 2 with the layouts over the last end in the championships.

Obviously I can't replicate the exact conditions of the ice and the position of the rocks can only be so exact but I still can't work out what Kevin was up to?

Anyone else done something like that?

During yesterday's telecast of the final in the Players Championship KM was interviewed and explained with the help of diagrams why he did what he hid in the now infamous 10th end.

Here's the link to the interview:

Sorry Stuart either its been overloaded or KMart has banned it but the clip is now unavailable but Bobs link gives so much info we need a least a couple more time outs to decide what shot to play -- and probably still get it wrong I hope!

It seems the link is still working from over this side of the pond.

It's very interesting 'cos KM's analysis focused on what would be left for his last shot. And he was left what he expected - he just missed with his last one.

Doesn't work for me. It is 'unavailable'! I would have liked to have listened to it.

Bob - try and see if this link works - you'll find the interview in the videos listed on this page. It's almost the most watched video.

Tried it in many different ways. The best I got is:

"This content is currently unavailable."

Sounds like another Vernon Affair in the making, gagging orders, complaints, appeals, more gagging orders.....
