Following from the news item on the RCCC website and after more than a few comments from members that I should put my name forward as the WCF representative to replace the retiring Bill Marshall I have come to the conclusion that I probably should.

I would appreciate comments on the desirability of this action from members of this Forum either on the Forum, by personal message or by email (sandy@millport.net).

Go for it Sandy. At least it will be a well kemt face. You been there and seen some ot  so why not contribute. But it may require more than the ferry fare to Largs to get to meetings and the first is up in the midnight daylight. Gather they putting people up in Railway carriages in the frozen north as no  or few hotels. worse than Aberdeen if you can afford it!

Anyone who has thoughtful insightful views such as Sandy's can be looked at only as an asset in these troubling modern times

I have had surprisingly few comments on this Forum but I have had a lot of emails.  A few  tell me that I need my head examined but most are supportive and I have decided to go for the position!

If anyone wishes to read my submission please let me know and I will email it to you.  I will hapilly listen to comments and advice and may change it before it is sent in.
